After three years of waiting (and 3 1/2 years since we started the process) we are almost there. China has referred through 3/6/06 and our LID (log in date) is 3/13/06. It may still be a few months but it finally seems like we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. And it's so weird how something we have waited so long for can suddenly seem surreal.
This picture was taken the same month we submitted our application to our agency. When we started this journey Barak was just turning one--he'll be five in September and Celia was just starting to talk--in a few short months she'll be done with Kindergarten. What hasn't changed is that we knew God was leading us to adoption then, and although so much has changed we are still confident that this is the path God has led us to and we're nervous, excited, and scared all at the same time.
