A couple years ago I saw a scrapbook page entitled "Bloom where you are (trans)planted" and it really struck me. One year ago Tuesday (7/13/2009), Shiloh was transplanted. She was uprooted from every sight, sound and caretaker she knew at the orphanage and handed to us. When I look at those first photos I can see the sadness/loss in her eyes. But over the last year she has demonstrated amazing resiliency. She has truely bloomed and I can't imagine our life without her. We have been so blessed.

Oh my GOSH! It has been too long since I have seen the little munchkin!! Where did all that HAIR come from???? Love it. She is so cute! Come over in August some time - we have to do a wii tournament before the kids go back to school!
ReplyDeleteSo precious!! HAPPY ONE YEAR!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful little girl Shiloh is! So much hair too! Very cute! Happy one year...time sure goes fast, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteSorry I just saw your question in my comment section. We did liquid tylenol and some benadryl spray because that is what we had, but I have heard that Vinegar is good (not readily available in my car though) and someone said that they learned on Friends that urine takes the sting out. I wasn't up for that either. :) A little jellyfish 101. She cried a lot so apparently it hurts.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your one year. Shiloh is adorable and we were so excited to meet her this summer. The family photo here is really nice - you have a beautiful family!
